LSM 380

In Astoria, Oregon the MS Salvage Chief (formarly USS LSM 380) a WWII era Landing Ship Medium has been converted into a salvage ship by Fred Devine Diving and Salvage. Her conning tower has been refitted in a more modern design. However, older photos will show that she retained the basic shape of an LSM until the 1980's. This vessel has quite a history in her own right as a salvage ship.
